Every document the platform generates for a prospect, a proposal, a leave-behind, a town readiness summary, comes out of one renderer. That was a deliberate decision made months ago, with a boring justification: three PDF paths would drift apart, and a company whose documents look like three companies reads as three companies.
This month the founder asked for the documents to carry more colour and the brand. Internal documents, he said, but consistency matters. Because there is one renderer, the change was one file: a green band across the top, the wordmark, headings in the deep brand green, a rule above the footer. Every document, from that afternoon, in the same clothes.
The first sample had the wordmark colliding with the title. We caught it before he did, which is the kind of thing a single renderer makes cheap to catch and a fleet of them makes expensive.
Colour on structure, never on body copy. The documents are still documents, and the body text is still black on white, because a prospect reads a proposal, they do not admire it. They just look like they came from somewhere now, and the same somewhere each time.
