How Tradelynx fits together

Tradelynx is built around one thing: a property's record of work. Every feature either adds trustworthy evidence to that record, puts the record to work for someone with a reason to rely on it, or keeps one side free so the evidence keeps flowing.

How it works

The five loops

Each loop feeds the record and draws from it. Features are grouped by the loop they serve, with the reason they are there.

1. The work loop: a job becomes evidence

A homeowner asks for a tradesperson; one verified tradesperson is offered the job at a time, free; the job is quoted, done, invoiced and paid through Tradelynx; completion writes it to the property's record, graded by how it was evidenced.

Why it's there: A payment processed through the platform and a job both sides confirmed is evidence a buyer or insurer can rely on. An uploaded receipt is not. This loop is where verified entries come from.

2. The trader's day: why there is so much for tradespeople

Books, the customer book, a calendar, a run sheet for the day, who owes them, templates and call notes.

Why it's there: A job only reaches the record if the tradesperson runs it through Tradelynx. When the platform is where their day already happens, the work goes through it, including jobs that never came from a lead. Tradelynx Pro is the one paid line on this side, so leads stay free.

3. The owner loop: a reason to come back between jobs

Most homes need a tradesperson a few times a year. The HomeLynx Passport gives an owner reasons to return in between: what's due next, reminders before a certificate or warranty ends, the inventory, the contents cover check and a Health score.

Why it's there: An owner who returns asks for the next job through Tradelynx when something is due. Every reminder ends in a one-tap request to a verified tradesperson, which starts the work loop again.

4. The organisation loop: the paying side, and more work for trades

Housing associations, councils, letting agents, facilities managers, landlords, insurers, lenders and estate agents use the same records for duties they already have: statutory compliance, Awaab's Law clocks, underwriting, lending risk and Material Information.

Why it's there: Organisation-side pricing is how Tradelynx is paid for, switched on line by line as each has enough real data behind it, which is what keeps homeowners free and tradespeople free of lead fees. Their panels also send work to verified tradespeople. Every persona runs on the same engine with its own view.

5. The hand-on loop: the record outlives the owner

When a home is sold, the Passport passes to the buyer and the owner's personal data stays behind. In between, the owner can share a verified copy with an agent, a lender or an insurer, on their terms, with every read logged.

Why it's there: The record gains value every year it is kept, and handing it on at sale is when that value is realised. It is also why every entry is graded: a buyer needs to know which ones are proven.

Around the loops

LabourLynx helps tradespeople find labourers and apprentices, which keeps them working through Tradelynx. Tradie IQ is a daily trade puzzle that brings tradespeople and homeowners in, and keeps them coming back. CALM: 5% of platform revenue goes to the Campaign Against Living Miserably, because suicide rates in the trades are among the highest of any occupation. A public number, NFC keyrings and the website badge give a tradesperson's own customers a way to reach them through Tradelynx, which brings that work onto the record too.

Many capabilities are shared: the same compliance engine serves several kinds of organisation. Every list, with the cost and the evidence on each line, is on everything Tradelynx does.

The test every feature passes

A feature belongs on Tradelynx if it answers yes to at least one of these:

  1. Does it add trustworthy evidence to a property's record?
  2. Does it put the record to work for someone with a reason to rely on it?
  3. Does it keep a side free, or pay for it?

And it has to keep to the rules that make the record trustworthy: no paid priority in routing, no commission on jobs, no decision against anyone made by AI alone, nothing shared without the owner's consent, and nothing claimed in public that is not live and checked.

Why breadth is the point

A marketplace on its own gets used a few times a year and is easy to copy. A property's record is only worth something when it is complete, and it is only complete when the people doing the work, the people who own the home and the organisations who answer for it all use the same place. Each audience's tools are the reason the others' records fill up.
