Tradelynx Books
Your books, MTD-ready, anywhere in Great Britain
£15 per month (includes any VAT that applies), free until we're HMRC-recognised, plus three months. We'll tell you before we ever charge, and you keep your records either way.
Tradelynx Books keeps a sole trader's income, expenses and receipts as dated, evidenced, MTD-ready records with VAT worked out, from anywhere in Great Britain, for £15 a month including any VAT that applies, free until Tradelynx is HMRC-recognised plus three months. It does not file to HMRC yet; you file from the export until recognition.
What Books does today
- Income and expenses as dated, evidenced lines: Tradelynx jobs land automatically with their provenance; off-platform work and expenses are recorded with an edit history.
- Receipts attached to the lines they belong to, so a query from HMRC is an export, not a search through a glovebox.
- VAT worked out on what you record, whether or not you are registered, so the £90,000 threshold never creeps up on you.
- Records kept in the shape Making Tax Digital for Income Tax asks for: digital, dated, categorised, exportable.
What Books does not do yet
Tradelynx does not file to HMRC today. We are not yet HMRC-recognised software. Books is MTD-ready: it keeps the records in the right shape, and quarterly submission arrives when recognition does. Until then you, or your accountant, file from the export. We will tell you the day that changes.
The price, and the free period
£15 per month (includes any VAT that applies), free until we're HMRC-recognised, plus three months. No card to start. We tell you before we ever charge. If you stop paying later, the tooling locks and your records stay yours and stay exportable; we never delete a trader's books.
Tradelynx itself stays free for tradespeople: no lead fees, no commission, no required subscription. Books is the optional paid tier.
Anywhere in Great Britain
Books, your work record and your property records do not depend on where you are. Customer work through the marketplace is offered only in the towns we have opened, and the signup says so plainly; if you are outside them you still get the account, the books and the records today, and we email you the moment we open near you.
