Early platforms make promises to early joiners, and most of those promises are adjectives. Founding member. Premium placement. Priority.
Ours is a mechanism, so here is the mechanism.
What it is
Jobs on Tradelynx route to one suitable trader at a time. When more than one trader suits a job, an ordering decides who is asked first.
Founding traders carry a real weight in that ordering, for a configured window. It is in the routing code, not in a brochure. While it lasts, a founding trader who suits a job is asked ahead of an equally suitable later joiner.
What it is not
It is not paid priority. It cannot be bought, and it does not outrank suitability. A founding roofer is not offered plumbing work because of a badge.
It is not permanent. The window is configured, and when it ends it ends. A perpetual founder advantage would just be a two-tier marketplace with extra steps, and the later tier would be right to resent it.
And it is not a volume promise. Routing priority on a job that exists is real; jobs existing is the market's business, not a guarantee we can make.
Why be this literal about it
Because the alternative is the industry norm: benefits vague enough that nobody can check whether they happened. A benefit you cannot check is indistinguishable from one that does not exist, and we would rather describe the smaller true thing than the larger vague one.
