A job request arrives from a homeowner in Portsmouth, Southampton or Bournemouth. It does not go on a board for everyone to see. It goes to one verified tradesperson at a time.
Who gets it first
The platform looks at three things: who has been waiting longest for work, who covers the area, and who is a good fit for the trade and the job. That is the aim, and the mechanics that serve it are published on the routing page: a rotating queue, a newcomer ramp for the first 30 days, area and capacity fit, and ratings from completed Tradelynx jobs as a small tiebreak. There is no featured tier and no paid priority. The routing page says so in those words: you cannot buy your way to the front of the queue. The trader pricing page puts it as "No paid priority. Availability and fit decide."
What happens if you pass
You see the job, you accept it or you pass. If you pass, or you do not answer, it moves to the next person in turn. A stale enquiry is passed on at most three times, an hour apart, so a customer is never left waiting on someone who has gone quiet.
How you check it
Your own routing history is visible to you lead by lead, alongside weekly fairness figures. If you think you are being skipped, look at the numbers rather than guessing. That is the point of publishing them.
What it costs
Nothing. £0 to join, £0 a month, £0 per lead, and a published commission rate of 0% on jobs. When a customer pays you for a completed job, the money is yours.
Posting a job is free for homeowners as well. They pay you directly, and Tradelynx never holds the money in between.
