On Tradelynx, a call nobody can answer is not lost: it becomes a lead with the caller's number and the time, so you can ring back.
Most tradespeople miss calls. You are up a ladder, under a floor, or driving. The caller rings the next number on the list, and that was the job.
How the lines work
Tradelynx runs a public phone number for each trade in each town it serves. A customer who rings it is connected to a verified tradesperson in that trade, in turn, during the hours each tradesperson has set. The lines are free to use, and the hours are yours to set in settings.
What happens when nobody answers
The call does not vanish. A missed call becomes a lead, and it comes to you the same way an enquiry does, with the number and the time. You ring back when you are off the ladder.
Only tradespeople who pass the gate
The lines ring only tradespeople who pass the same checks as a job offer. Identity verified, public liability insurance evidence on file, approved by a person. If a check cannot be read, the line does not ring that tradesperson, and neither does a job offer. The gate fails closed, not open.
Recording is yours to switch on
Call recording is off until you turn it on. If you do, every caller hears that the call may be recorded and transcribed, and can press 9 to opt out. The audio is deleted straight after transcription, the transcript is kept for 30 days, and you get a note with follow-ups to review. Nothing is written to a customer record without you looking at it first.
The telephony page in your dashboard lists the calls that came through your local Tradelynx number. Your hours are set in settings.
