A growing share of the questions that used to go to a search engine now go to an assistant, which answers in a paragraph and cites its sources. So we have started answering the trader-side questions directly on the site, in a form an assistant can lift whole.

The discipline is the same one we apply everywhere else: every sentence in an answer is backed by a claim we publish and test against the running platform, and the answer is allowed to not favour us. Our Checkatrade answer says plainly that a sole trader with steady word-of-mouth may need neither platform, because that is true, and an answer engine has no reason to cite a page that oversells.
There is a mechanical side to this worth explaining, because it is the part that keeps us honest when nobody is watching. Each answer is stored with the list of published claims it depends on, and our release checks refuse to ship the site if an answer references a claim that no longer exists or whose evidence has broken. So an answer cannot quietly outlive the thing that made it true: if we changed our pricing tomorrow, the page saying "no lead fees" would fail the build until the words changed too.
If the answers are wrong, they fail our own checks before they ship. If they are right, they are right whoever asks, and whatever asks.
