Every platform says it vets its trades. Here is what ours actually involves, from your side of the process.
Identity first: a document and a live selfie check, handled by our identity partner. This is the step that lets us tell customers every tradesperson is a real, specific person, and it is why an account cannot take work before it is done.
Credentials second: where your trade has a public register, a person reviews what you submit against it. Gas work means the Gas Safe Register. Not a script matching text, a person checking a register.
Insurance third: current public liability cover, evidenced, before any job can be accepted. This one protects you as much as the customer, and it is a hard gate rather than a checkbox.
None of this is fast to fake, which is the point. The checks are what make a Tradelynx job worth having: the customer on the other end chose a pool where everyone passed them.
There is one more thing worth knowing about how the gate behaves over time. Verification is not a one-off stamp you collect at signup and forget: your status is consulted continuously, so cover that lapses stops work routing to you until it is current again. That sounds strict, and it is. It is also the reason the word "verified" means something here when a customer reads it, rather than meaning "verified once, years ago". A gate that only checks on the way in is a gate everyone drifts past eventually, and the trades who keep their paperwork current deserve better than to be pooled with the ones who do not.
