A digital property logbook only earns trust if the people reading it can tell how each entry got there. In the HomeLynx Passport, an entry made from a completed job is recorded by the verified tradesperson who did the work and confirmed by the homeowner, and it carries a stated evidence grade. Work the owner adds themselves is kept, and labelled as the owner’s own record. Nothing is quietly promoted to verified.

The UK government’s home buying and selling reform roadmap sets out a move towards trusted property information being available earlier in a transaction, with digital logbooks and sale packs as the vehicle. The questions a buyer’s conveyancer asks, through the TA6 form and the BASPI upfront information standard, are questions a current logbook already answers. A dated, verifiable copy of a HomeLynx Passport can be issued to a buyer, an estate agent, a conveyancer or a lender, stating what it includes and what it does not.
