What does Tradelynx give a tradesperson, and what is free?
A tradesperson gets leads routed one at a time with no lead fees, no commission and no required subscription, quoting, invoicing, card and bank payment at cost, a customer book, a public profile and a verified work record. Books, the one paid line, keeps MTD-ready records and does not file to HMRC until recognition.

1. What you can do
- Join anywhere in Great Britain. Any GB postcode opens an account with Books, the work record and property records; customer work is a separate optional step behind verification, offered where the marketplace runs.
- Leads without lead fees. Jobs routed to you one at a time by availability and distance; accept or decline free, with no commission on the work and no subscription required.
- Books: MTD-ready records. Income from Tradelynx invoices lands as evidenced lines; expenses from a receipt photo read by AI for you to check; quarters follow Making Tax Digital; VAT and tax estimates; CIS deductions recorded against contractors' statements.

2. What it costs
Leads, routing, quoting, invoicing and the work record are free: no lead fees, no commission on jobs, no required subscription. Books (Tradelynx Pro) is the one paid line.
- Service plan fee (owner): not yet priced; free during the pilot.
- Tradelynx Pro (Books): free during the pilot; charging is not switched on yet.
Every price on this page is resolved from the one pricing source at the moment the page is served; a line charges only when it is priced, activated and above its data threshold, and until then it says so.
3. Where the data comes from
- Register (1 capability). Read from an official register (the EPC register, HM Land Registry Price Paid, the Environment Agency, Historic England, Companies House, the FCA register) and shown as the register's own, with its reference.
- Platform-verified (19 capabilities). Recorded by the platform as it happened: a job completed and confirmed through Tradelynx, a payment it processed, an identity or credential it checked, a consent it logged.
- User-entered (9 capabilities). Entered by the person it belongs to and shown as their declaration; graded Unconfirmed until evidenced, and excluded from third-party reports until then.
- Derived (8 capabilities). Computed from the records above by a stated method (a score, a forecast, a due date); labelled indicative, never a quote or a verdict.
4. What it does not do
- There are no lead fees, no commission on jobs and no subscription required to receive and accept work.
- Books does not file to HMRC: records are kept in the shape Making Tax Digital needs, and filing continues through your existing route until recognition.
- There is no paid priority in routing: leads go to one tradesperson at a time and nobody can buy the front of the queue.
- Customer work requires identity verification, current public liability insurance and register-checked credentials before the first lead; a person reviews every application.
- Customer work is offered only where the marketplace runs; an account anywhere in Great Britain still gets Books, the work record and property records.
- Call recording is off unless you turn it on, and the audio is never stored.
